GP Posting

Ok, for those who did not attend the Briefing on GP Posting lecture and people who attended but have totally forgotten what it was about, this is what everyone's supposed to do :

1. You need to write up a portfolio which contains 4 things :

  • A student log of patients which contains at least 25 presenting complaints/problems that bring patients to a GP and record basic sciences learning issue(s) from each presentation.

  • Health promoting activities you have seen in the clinic. For example, Seen : 40 y/o patient with bronchial asthma; Activity : Observed smoking cessation counselling given to the patient
  • Construct a genogram of a patient, preferably one with HPT/DM. Refer to pictures below.
  • I'm too blah-ed out to type it out, i'm just going to paste the slide.

This portfolio is to be handed in to the AAD after the debriefing session for your group.

In addition to your portfolios, I think everyone is supposed to prepare and additional topic, according to your groups :

Slides obtained from Dr Nurjahan's lecture. You can download the full lecture off the I:Drive somewhere in the Timetables folder, I'm sure you can find it. Any other questions, comment or tag.
