Do remember that the batch picture for the Convocation Magazine is tomorrow at 10.30 in the Atrium.

We are compiling a DVD of photos from everyone, please bring, in a thumbdrive to transfer, 15+ pictures of good quality of M206 people in a group preferably at an IMU event. Do label the pictures with the name of the event and put them in a folder with your name as its name (your name as in the name list, thank you).

Mock OSCE Scores

Mock OSCE Scores are out in the CSU, do go check them. Also posted are the answers to all the Self Standing stations.

I am trying to arrange phototaking for the batch for the Conco Mag next Wednesday at 10.30am, will confirm once I have confirmed everything for sure, please keep the day and time free.

IMU Alumni Registration

We will be able to get a substantial grant from the Alumni for the printing of the Convocation Magazine should we all sign up as Alumni members. Do go to the Alumni website and sign up by this Friday so we can expedite the process. It won't take you more than 5 minutes to do so.

Pre Matching III

Ok, I've emailed everyone who is Matching the results.

Er, I apologise but the if your name is on the first half of the name list, you have the SLIGHTLY older version with one person less (103 instead of 104 people) as I only discovered a new email halfway through sending. But it shouldn't majorly affect the results. If you really HAVE to get the updated one, sms me identifying yourself and your email address and I'll email you.

If you did not receive it in your email, check the SPAM folder first before SMS-sing me.

If you are one of the 6 people who have not given me your choices despite my SMSes, there's still time to do it. (I'll just leave the "Shame on you"s to other people)

Whatever the case, physical copies of the most recent results tomorrow.

For those who have not read the announcement below : the deadline for Matching is now WEDNESDAY 15th October 2008.

Matching Deadline EXTENDED

AAD has just informed me that the Matching deadline has been extended to Wednesday, 15th of October 2008.

Please take note.

The Dean's Office is in contact with the University of Nottingham and any info I receive will be posted here.

Lecture on Inflammatory Arthritis

Dr Vijay Singh has apparently been on medical leave for the last 3 days and did not inform anyone to replace him to give the lecture. This was all just realised today and unfortunately, no notes can be uploaded for the lecture tomorrow at this juncture in time.

Rather than cancel the lecture as per the option given by the administration ( I am not going to name names ), Dr Thani has informed me that he will be giving the lecture in Dr Vijay's place tomorrow morning and the notes will be uploaded after that.

I realise that there are a set of Inflammatory Arthritis notes in the I:Drive by Dr Esha Das Gupta but it is unlikely the lecture to be given by Dr Thani tomorrow.

This is the best I can do at this point in time.

ECA Matching Form

Please be reminded that you are supposed to send a soft copy of the ECA Form that has been approved by the SAD to the email addresses that they are supposed to be sent to. The email addresses are in the form itself.

PMS Fees

The PMS fees list given out today has a few things which need to be corrected, I have already confirmed this with Ms Haslinda from AAD.

All the end dates for the UK universities from Dundee downwards should be one year later. So, Dundee should end in 2011 while Edinburgh, Glasgow, Keele, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Queen's, Southampton and St George's should end in 2012.

Dundee has changed its course to a 2 and a 1/2 year programme so the duration and fees should be different from what is listed to reflect the additional time. It is expected to be from Feb-09 to Jul-11. I will post and announce details of this when I get the update.

Nottingham is included in our Matching. Details will be forthcoming before the 13th of October. I will also announce and post details of this when I get them from AAD.

IT Representative

The SRC has requested that every batch elect an IT Representative whom will apparently be in charge of electronic equipment in the lecture theatre and forward IT complaints to the IT Representative of the SRC, Geowin Solomon.

I realise that there is only one semester left and all those stated duties above are already handled by Evelyn and I but I suppose we should probably try to accede to the SRC's request.

I will be holding elections most likely on Wednesday or Thursday, formality or not.

Do not forget your ECA forms need handing in. Those who do not live in KL, remember to bring any certificates or proofs from home so that your form can be certified by May Kuan.

The details for the scheduled ECA meeting with May Kuan are as follows:

Date & Time: 3 Sept, Wednesday, 2-4 pm
4 Sept, Thursday, 10.30-12.45 pm
5 Sept, Friday, 11.30-12.30 pm
Venue : PBL 32 & 33

Our timetable for the first week is rather hectic, so it is rather difficult to find a suitable time that can accomodate everyone. So, for students who have CSU scheduled on Thursday, please try to make it for the Wednesday or Friday sessions instead, okay?=)

Just a reminder, it is COMPULSORY for ALL students, PMS and Seremban to meet up with May Kuan and hand in your ECA forms. Please be reminded to print out the ECA form from the I Drive, fill it in and bring along the ORIGINAL copy of your certificates. The due date for handing up the ECA form will be on 5 September, 2008.

Meeting with the British High Commissioner

I just received this notice from the SRC, the British High Commissioner will be visiting IMU tomorrow and there will be a meeting with students at 4.00pm.

I currently have a 2 to 3 places available for students from our batch who might want to meet him. If you are seriously interested in going to a UK PMS and want one of the places, please SMS me byt today and I will confirm with you tomorrow morning about places.

MSK TiMe tAbLe=)

Dear all,

The time table, study guide, CSU manual and groupings for MSK are already out. You can access it from I Drive under Time Tables, Medical Sciences, Sem 5.

Please be reminded that ALL students are required to meet May Kuan either on the 2,3 or 4th September to discuss, certify your certs and check your ECA form. I will schedule a suitable time with May Kuan and update you all hopefully by next Monday. So please make it for either one of this sessions.
